Climate control

during transport of fruit and vegetables

When transporting fresh production, there is often a risk of quality loss due to the change or non-compliance of required storage conditions.

In order to avoid these risks or at least to reduce them to an acceptable level, it is necessary to monitor such particularly important climate parameters as:
  • temperature
  • humidity
  • ethylene compatibility

Climate monitoring during transport
Data logger
Placed in a refrigerator or directly in the packaging, the compact data loggers monitor the transport of temperature and humidity sensitive products and store measured data in the set time intervals.

Arrived at the destination, the data loggers are simply removed and the measurement data are evaluated.

Ethylene Analyzer
Many fruit varieties produce ethylene even after harvesting and thus mature quickly. By not observing transport conditions, there is a risk of no longer controllable ripening processes getting started, which effects are not visible during unloading, but only during later storage or in the retail store shelf.

We therefore recommend to measure ethylene concentration during transport as well as during incoming goods inspection.
