PDC Promotes Organizational Excellence

Student Book Collecting Contest Winners

The winners of this year's student book collecting contest were announced at an awards ceremony in Rivera Library. In the graduate category, Andrew Shaler won for California: The Long Nineteenth Century, a collection focused on Indian history in the Gold Rush era. Nicholas Dotson won the undergraduate category with Michael Jackson: The Components of a Legend. (Read more)

New Flexible Classroom Space in Rivera

Flexible classrooms provide space for students, faculty and librarians to teach collaboratively and engage students in active learning and critical thinking. Thanks to a campus technology grant submitted under the leadership of Associate University Librarian Ann Frenkel, a Rivera Library classroom recently underwent a "flexible" transformation. Research Services Supports 8,000+ Students

The numbers are in! During the 2015-2016 academic year, the Library’s Division of Research and Instruction taught more than 8,000 UCR students how to conduct ethical, effective research. (Read more)

McLeod Collection & Sikh Studies Award

The Library looks forward to seeing an influx of visitors to the McLeod Collection of Sikh Studies, following the announcement by CHASS of the Dhillon Endowed Research Award for Sikh and Punjabi Studies. (Read more)

New Director of Teaching and Learning

The UCR Library welcomed Dani Brecher Cook as our new Director of Teaching and Learning. Dani will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing program for library teaching and learning services. (Read more)

New Geospatial Information Librarian

Janet Reyes is UCR Library's new Geospatial Information Librarian. Prior to coming to UC Riverside, Janet worked at Aerial Information Systems Inc. (AIS), an environmental consulting firm in Redlands, California that specializes in geospatial data development. (Read more)

New Financial and Administrative Analyst

Camille Mahant joined the UCR Library as a Financial and Administrative Analyst. Before coming to UCR, Camille earned her BS in cell biology from the University of Michigan, and her MBA from CSU Fullerton. (Read more)
