Estate & Medicaid Planning & End of Life Workshop - Virtual

Thursday, December 3 at 6:30 PM

Estate planning attorneys prepare Living Wills, Healthcare Proxies, and Durable Powers of Attorney for clients along with Wills, Trusts, etc. all the time. These end of life directives are given to the clients by the attorney and therefore the attorney believes that their job is done. But it isn’t. These directives do little good unless the clients also participate in extensive conversations with their healthcare agents and family. Learn more about End of Life Planning with attorney Gerald Shyavitz to help protect yourself and your loved ones.

Virtual Beginner's Chinese Calligraphy

Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 PM

Join artist Jojo Liu in this beginner's Chinese calligraphy class, from the comfort and safety of your own home. Jojo will teach traditional Chinese calligraphy basics, including how to hold a brush, write basic strokes, and write stokes while standing.

No prior knowledge is required to participate in this class, except a passion for calligraphy and/or history. This class is ideal for beginners and is a great indoor activity idea for individuals, couples, groups of friends, and kids.

Participants will require several supplies for this class series. These supplies are a calligraphy brush, ink, and paper.

Bio

Chinese calligraphy is one of the most traditional art forms in the world, truly representative of eastern art and culture. I was taught and inspired by my grandfather to practice Chinese calligraphy from a young age. With my love and passion for creative arts, I adopt a modern twist to traditional Chinese calligraphy. My work showcases a perfect balance of traditional calligraphy art with modern flare. I hope to continue to spread the passion of Chinese calligraphy as a modern art form. I’m a current board member for the San Francisco Chinese Arts Association (舊金山中華藝術學會); also, a member of the American Artist Association (美國藝術家協會).
