Maleny Commerce Newsletter - October 2019
From the President
And so starts the Festive Season. With only 13 weeks till Christmas it's time to start planning so your business can benefit from the Christmas spending. Promote early, be a little different and give your customers something they may not expect. Bascially stand out!
Auspost reports in 2019 that 73% of households are buying online, equating to 7.6 million people, accounting for $27.5 billion in eCommerce revenue. Can your business benefit from this growing trend?
If you are considering eCommerce and don't know where to start there are many cost effective programs available to teach you all that you need to know. A couple of them are listed below and we will also have a presentation at our October breakfast by Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance about their Business Mentoring Program, working one on one with you.
We are very fortunate to have available to us such heavily subsidised programs with some being run by experts that have lived a life of small business. I know small business are time poor but to take the time out to seek and learn how to better your business is a smart move.
In 2020 our Chamber will present to you a Maleny Gift Card concept. We are very excited to be working with "Why Leave Town Gift Cards" to do a presentation at our February AGM for businesses to consider. A chance to keep money local and provide a service to benefit our town. Attend our February 2020 AGM to find out more.
We hope to see you at the October Breakfast celebrating Sculpture on the Edge, another Maleny event that benefits our region.
#lovemaleny!! Have a good month - Nicole
