They all work in their respective project spaces and art institutions and they take part in a variety of international residency and exchange programmes.
Together we will discuss and plan future projects and also plan Sigrids Stue's upcoming artist-in-residency programme.

MAY - JULY
Artist in residence
Maj Hasager, artist (DK)
In August last year Maj Hasager visited Sigrids Stue in Gellerup. Now Hasager will revisit and continue her research in the area. The aim is to create a whole new archive that is meant to document and preserve Gellerup's inhabitants' oral culture. Hasager will collect and record inhabitants' tales and stories and digitalize their photographs.
In her projects Maj Hasager's work focuses on
socio-political relations and conditions. She uses the personal narrative as the point of departure for dealing with current issues and conflicts. She focuses on how people remember events and places and how these memories are shaped by being handed down and retold throughout generations.
In line with Hasager's previous projects, the project in Gellerup will span over a longer period of time during which the artist will be returning periodically to Gellerup. The project will be presented in 2017 and will be carried out in collaboration with the Local Archive in Brabrand.
On Site by Maj Hassager is a film about six former Palestinian rural towns. It is narrated through the stories of six young men from Palestine whose grandparents had fled the towns in 1948. The narrators review stories that they have been told about those areas.
