August Newsletter

I hope everyone had a great 4th and 24th of July last month. Granite School District is starting up on Aug.18th and many kids still need supplies. If you are in a position to donate and help out you can visit Granite Education Foundation at and see what is needed.

We will also be doing a fundraiser with the Granite Education Foundation on 9.10.2022 where we will be putting together weekend food kits for students in our area. I will be posting more information on how to get involved on my social media and in next month's email so stay tuned to see how you can get involved with this year's day of service project.

Happening on The Hill

Interim is back in session this month. During this meeting, I will discuss the child support amendments that will help ensure that custodial parents can still collect on back owed child support, even after the child turns 18.

We will also be discussing emergency preparedness for our state. Since the earthquake in 2020, I have been working diligently to ensure we are prepared for another earthquake. We currently have more Unreinforced Masonry than the state of California and as Utahns, we pride ourselves on being prepared for everything, but in this, we are vastly unprepared. If you have something that is important to you that you'd like to discuss that you feel has been overlooked please get in touch with me.

Pioneer Day Parade

The parade this year was beautiful. I was very honored to join the Sikh Community of Utah and hand out water to parade-goers. Thank you to everyone who showed up who made the parade what it was.

Magna's Night Out Against Crime

HAPPENING TONIGHT! Magna's Night Out is a free and fun event for everyone to attend. The purpose of this event is to get involved with our local police department and build relationships with our neighbors and community members to help keep ourselves and each other safe. Hope to see you all there!

We Are Kearns

Kearns Hometown Night Celebration kicks off on Aug. 5th at 6 pm at the Kearns Library (4275 W. 5345 S.) Come out to join us to celebrate Kearns and the wonderful community it is.

Join us in the Parade on the 6th at 8:30 am. We will be meeting at Kearns High School, then traveling North on Cougar Lane. Everyone is invited!

9-8-8 Suicide Helpline

As of July 16th, 9-8-8 has become the new national suicide and crisis lifeline. You can access 24/7 emotional support quickly and easily. Please share this number with your loved ones.

Join us in Talking to Voters

It's an election year and we are out talking to voters letting them know why I'm running for re-election this year. We have a lot of new people to talk to since the district lines have changed and I would love for you to join us. Sign up to volunteer by clicking the button below.

Your Support Matters

As you know, I'm running to be re-elected to the Legislature as your representative. Running a campaign takes money to reach out to voters and let them know what we have accomplished during this time and what we plan to accomplish in the future. Your donation means the world to me.

If you are able to donate but are not able to donate online you can send a check to:
Committee to Elect Clare Collard
P.O. Box 428
Magna, Utah 84044

You can also sign up to receive a yard sign or volunteer at one of our events.
