We Did It!

Since being elected to represent District 22, it has been an honor to show up and get things done for our community.  That is why I'm so excited to announce that I am running again to represent our newly defined District 27. We still have countless issues that are in the works for our state and I'm ready to keep working for my neighbors.

Working For You

In my years in the legislature, I've successfully fought for more than $50,000,000 in affordable housing, made hospital billing more transparent and affordable, worked to give municipalities the power to clean up "meth homes" in their neighborhoods, and have backed legislation that made childcare accessible for all Utahns.

I have co-sponsored bills that will ensure teachers are paid additional professional development hours, worked on additional healthcare professionals protections, advocated for full-day kindergarten, and pushed for resources to keep the Great Salt Lake healthy and thriving.

Not all legislation presented is successful. One of my main focuses this year was H.B. 100 Emergency Preparedness Amendments. This is such a big issue in our district since being the epicenter of the March 2020 earthquake. I have been working with stakeholders in the state and have their support in this bill in future legislative efforts. I will continue to work on this through interim until I can confidently say we are prepared.

Also, HB 84 Child Support Statute of Limitations, although this didn't make it through the committee we will be working on it over interim. I am committed to helping make sure that custodial parents get what is due to them so that they can take care of their children. This bill was brought to me by a constituent who felt we needed to have better laws surrounding child support. I appreciate when members of the community reach out to me with issues they see pertinent to their lives.

I'm continuing my efforts with UDOT to get a pedestrian walkway over 8400 W to the new high school to help keep our students safe. This is under review with UDOT and Granite School District. I will continue to keep you updated on the progress.

There is still more work to do! Our district deserves strong infrastructure, better jobs, and schools that prepare our children for the new world they'll face. I hope I'll have your vote in November, and I'm excited to continue to talk to you, my neighbors, about where we've been together and where we're going next.

Your Support Matters

As most of you know campaigns are expensive to run. We have worked very hard these last couple of years and we have even more work to do. All money donated goes to things like voter outreach, yard signs, and mailers to let people know why I'm running. I need your support.
