February 10, 2023
Dear Friends,
|
|
Join us this Sunday for what has been a very popular Adult Formation series on the Gospel of Matthew. And on Saturday, come on by and give blood at St. Paul’s Blood Drive. The Appalachian Service Project will be June 18-24. See the information below about the March spaghetti dinner that supports this year’s trip and registration information. We are looking forward to returning to Newcomer Tours beginning on February 19th and continuing the 3rd Sunday of each month. And Women’s and Men’s Beach Weeks return this spring. See you at church on Sunday.

Adult Formation
On Sundays from 10:15-11:00 a.m. in the St. Paul’s chapel, join the clergy for a conversation about our lectionary year as we navigate through the Gospel of Matthew. How does this particular gospel shed light on our understanding of who Jesus is? What does this have to tell us about who we are called to be today? See below for the forum schedule.
You can participate in the forums in-person in the chapel on Sundays, or you may view them later at the St. Paul’s YouTube page.

Appalachia Service Project (ASP)
|
|
Registration is now open for high schoolers and adults who will join our crew on June 18-24, 2023 as we journey to the rural regions of Appalachia for our annual mission trip. If you are unfamiliar with this ministry, youth and adult volunteers are empowered to take on high-impact home repairs for families in high poverty regions; more than using power tools, the true inspiration comes from the transformational relationships formed along the way.

St. Paul’s is sending three vans on the trip this year, and we need commitments by March 10 from youth and adults to fill those spots. We also need help from the congregation as we prepare for the trip with our fundraising Spaghetti Dinner on March 10. For details about cost of the trip and registration forms, please contact Kevin Swann at kev@gmail.com. If you would like to volunteer to make a dessert or help with our Spaghetti Dinner (youth AND adults can be of great help), please sign up here: Spaghetti Dinner volunteers.
Learn more about our ASP ministry by checking out our webpage at St. Paul's ASP page.
