Mountains, Forests and Indigenous Storytelling:
Making Meaning with Places

For indigenous peoples like the Shoshone, the Western Apache and others, stories are located within their surrounding environment.  Stories are evoked by certain places in the natural world and they are told in those locales. Sometimes they are only told in particular places, a certain hillside, or a particular cave. These can be morality tales, historical recountings and sometimes they are just for fun.

Attend in person at the PUUF Meeting House, 426 W. Lewis
   or via Zoom.
