Hi <<First Name>>,

I hope you've settled in for the new term. As exam season approaches we’ve pulled together some useful information:

First, check out all the information on the examinations pages. You may be aware that UCU recently voted in favour of industrial action. The University has been making preparations to ensure that your exams will take place as scheduled. Keep an eye on the examinations pages for updates.

Second, you may be interested to know, noting the University’s official policy that bags are not allowed in exam rooms, that during the main exam period this year (16 May – 23 June) we’re trialling the provision of a controlled central storage facility, where you may leave your bags whilst taking exams.

If you're looking for places to study, there are now additional study spaces in the Library, Rootes Learning Grid, and Uni House restaurant. A number of centrally timetabled rooms have been set aside for study too, and you could check with your department to see if they have any available space. And if you're looking for somewhere to eat, there are several social spaces with microwaves you can use to heat your own food.

And if you need support, or if you're just looking for a way to relax, there's loads of events on to help you - including ukulele sessions, anxiety workshops, free Friday swim and gym sessions, free fruit, and free coffee if you're pulling a late one in the library.

Good luck with your studies!
All the best,

Student Communications Team
