Happy Spring!

Can it be? Is winter finally over in New England?

Variety is the spice of life.

If you've been following me for a while, you know that my online presence has changed, and changed, and changed several more times after that. It's been really challenging to try and figure out exactly what works when it comes to a website and an online store, social media accounts, YouTube and podcasts―sometimes it can get overwhelming!

Recently I ran into some serious issues on my website. Without boring you with a layperson's version of technobabble, I'll at least say that some things went wrong, and there didn't appear to be a way I could fix them without paying a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

So, I spent a day or two being really super frustrated, and then I stepped back. I asked myself what I wanted out of my website and what I really wanted its purpose to be. Over the last several months it had gotten bigger and more complicated and it was getting harder and harder to maintain. That was really making it hard for me to feel passionate about taking care of it. Somehow, it felt like it slipped out of my hands and I couldn't get it back.

Which honestly was pretty silly. I'm the only one overseeing it, so what's stopping me from making it exactly what I want?

In short, it became clear to me that, at this point in my career, ease of use is much more important that my perceptions of what I'm supposed to have. My website has been thinned out considerably, and the shop has been removed entirely. Now, whether you purchase from me online or in person, your transaction will be handled by Etsy, meaning that you don't need to worry about setting up other accounts on other sites, and it means that my inventory levels will always be updated in real time.

If you haven't already, please go check out the new and vastly improved ZuFoos.com, and let me know what you think via Facebook :)

I hope wherever you are, you are able to take time and connect with the cycles of nature. The change of seasons is always a powerful time―enjoy it.
