There is no cost to enter and prizes will be awarded in multiple categories. The Parade of Whales marches along South Kihei Road on February 13 from 9:00am to 10:00am. It is the official kick-off to World Whale Day and a great opportunity to connect with the local community.
By participating in the Parade of Whales, you are also helping to raise public awareness around Hawaii's humpback whales and the need to protect their vital ocean habitat.
The Parade of Whales is open to organizations, school groups, businesses, activity clubs, performers and anyone else seeking to showcase themselves in a fun and creative way. It is emceed by popular DJs from KPOA and features costumed sea characters, marching bands, performances, local dignitaries, and floats of all shapes and sizes.
Space is limited with priority given to past participants, so enter now to secure your spot by the January 22 deadline. Additional information will be sent to you once your entry form is received.
