Fridays for Future Calgary Newsletter - July 27th 2020

Welcome to the first-ever Fridays For Future Calgary Newsletter! Our newsletter will be bi-weekly and will include, but isn’t limited to the following: updates from our group, climate and environmental news and ways to take action! If you enjoy this newsletter, tell your friends and family to sign up too!

What We've Been Up To

Due to Covid-19, Fridays for Future Calgary has not been striking outside City Hall for many months. However, many of our members have been participating in digital climate strikes on Fridays to advocate for climate action while following public health regulations. Do you want to advocate for systemic climate action from home? Send us an email or a direct message on Instagram with a picture of you and/or your sign to be featured on our social media!

Our team has also been busy researching and creating posts for social media, most of which have been focused on the intersections between the climate crisis, the pandemic, and social justice issues. We hope to continue to educate ourselves and our audience on these topics and more!

Upcoming Events

  • Fridays for Future has recently announced that the next Day of Global Action will be on September 25th! Stay tuned for more details!

We also encourage you to check out these links on how to support the BLM movement through donations and petitions. It is essential for everyone to continue to have important conversations with family and friends about social justice issues!
