What We've Been Up To

Although our strikes have once again been put on hold because of COVID-19, we were still able to participate in the #FightFor1Point5 campaign in honour of the 5th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, with a digital strike, where Calgarians took photos of themselves and their climate strike sign signs and we complied them in Instagram and Facebook posts calling upon our political leaders to take meaningful action to prevent further contribution to the ever-worsening climate crisis, as well as mitigate its ongoing effects.

You can find the posts in our “Latest Media & Blog Posts” section down below.

Weekly Strikes Are Cancelled Until Further Notice

Due to the continuous rise in COVID-19 cases in Calgary, and the new restrictions put in place by the government, we will not be holding any in person strikes until further notice. We will continue to keep our presence online strong, and we invite you to keep striking digitally with us! Stay tuned!

We are doing a 3 part series on some local small businesses to support this holiday season and this new year (especially for gift giving)! With the new COVID restrictions this week, it’s important to shop and support local. View a list of local businesses on our website.

The Calgary Climate Hub recently released it’s open letter calling upon ENMAX to set 2050 as their target to be Net-Zero. Their goal is 250 signatures, go sign it!
