We're filled with Thanksgiving as the season passes into crispy leaves and brisk breezes. When seasons change, a sense of wonder whispers to our hearts. With great expectation we know the Lord has plans for each of us that will bring joy and peace to those around us. It encourages them to put their trust in the only One who passes our understanding and goes straight to the heart. Our logic does not always match the road God calls us to. Faith defies logic and our comfort zone at times. But the Lord knows His will is best, and so we can trust Him. If He brings you to it, He'll bring you through it!
One year ago I landed in the hospital while in Greece at the end of our mission trip. For 2 months we had served in ministry to refugees and the body of Christ in Athens. And then suddenly I was not well, I began losing control over the left side of my body, I became very weak and nauseated. After an MRI the doctors discovered that I had a pea sized legion deep in the right side of my brain. They don't know what caused it but it took nearly 3 months for my body to recover fully. I came home using a walker and teaching myself to write right-handed. In all of it though, looking back, the Lord has taught me, that Satan doesn't like my passion for Christ and wanted to at least put out my fire for God, if he could not cripple me. And yet he could not, not for long! Because God has healed me and I stand and run and write left-handed, like I was created to, and serve God with a passion like never before. Because my God is worthy, I give Him all the credit for the health and ability to be who He has called me to be. No matter what stage you're in, in your struggle, know, just trust, that God is on the journey with you. He hasn't left you alone. He wants to bring you closer to Him through it, teach you how much He loves you and who He wants you to be in Him.

We recently spent a couple weeks in Mexico with our family of God there. It was a packed trip and thankfully God had plans we did not expect and that is how we love to watch things unfold, because in missions life  ➼  where He leads, we follow! 🧭
God draws those He wills and we witnessed 10 precious people show the world their commitment to Christ through baptism.
Moriah and Nate both expressed their desire to be baptized as well when they heard about the coming event. We are blessed by God that our children are coming to the Lord as He draws them.
Pictures can show you better than I can even tell you, as the saying goes...a picture is worth a thousand words.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
