Hey faith-family! We are YWAM Ships Staff officially!
We are in Corpus Christi, feet on the ground!
From November when we saw and heard the PEACE of the Lord over this move and ministry, to seeing this dream become a reality blows our minds!
Getting settled has been an adjustment as we moved into a travel trailer, needless to say!
So, what does it mean that we are officially on staff here in Corpus?
Well, it means we have comrades, a team and they are becoming family to us already!
We aren't lonely! Our kids have instant friends in this ministry team.
We meet together every Monday to worship God, pray over the week and discuss what outreach or business needs to be done! Thursdays we have community night where we fellowship, worship and eat together. And throughout the week we are making connections in the city, in churches, we're out with the homeless, and whatever else the Lord leads us in.
The mission and (long term) goal of YWAM Ships Corpus Christi is to train, send and sail missionaries on vessels to the remote islands of the world! Yet, we are a new ministry being pioneered and dont have a vessel. Behind the scenes, we trust that the Lord is making one ready to serve the purpose for missions to the nations! So, in the mean time our team will discover the needs of our community and serve locally! This summer we will target the lonely and also the youth of the city!
As time is short we want to be ready in this season to be the hands + feet of Christ right here, right now! To build the Kingdom. To be salt + light!
As we go forward, we are believing God to build this because He is the Author of this story!
And "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who labor, labor in vain.." Psalm 127
What being on Staff does NOT mean.. It does not mean that anyone gets paid. We are all individuals or families that are fully supported by a "faith-family" (Friends, family, even strangers, at times!) This means we took a huge leap of faith to be here as we are still paying our mortgage back home! BUT We are under a contract now! So, thankfully the double payments wont be weighing on us much longer! We appreciate any support and all the prayers for us in this time of transition!
