Governor training events. We're delivering and facilitating a limited number of governor training events this term. Two events, one in Bradford and the other in Bingley, explore the key messages that commonly emerge from external reviews of governance. There is a small fee of £15 per person to attend this event. The other event explores the Governing Body's responsibilities for Performance Related Pay (PRP) - this event is free to attend. Booking details can be found on the fliers available through the links in the text above.
Making the best use of Teaching Assistants. Exceed in Bradford TSA has been accredited as an advocate partner with the EEF to explore how the deployment of TAs can be enhanced based on the finding of the recent report. Twenty-six school have expressed an interest in participating in this project - more than we'd initially wanted! The Head and a Governor will be invited to an event scheduled for 4pm on the 25th June 2015.
Become an Exceed in Bradford Teaching School Alliance partner! Exceed in Bradford wants to work with you to develop a local offer that helps to meet your needs. If your school would like to be a named member of our alliance please let us know! There is no cost associated with this and you can be an Alliance partner with more than one teaching school. What are your school's emerging CPD needs?
Exceed in Bradford is working hard this term to develop a CPD programme for school leaders, governors, teachers and support staff. But, we want this to address your priorities! Please email us with details of the topics and themes of CPD that you'd like to see available locally. We need your help to get this right...
Who are your potential Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE)?
Crediting staff as SLEs is powerful on a number of fronts. Its great for your school to have them on your staff; it may help you to retain your best leaders by giving then a new opportunity; and it helps to builds capacity for the provision of school to school support, such as facilitating network meetings, engaging in research and development, and supporting another school. We've prepared an information booklet for you and your staff to help you to consider the role. Please email us if you'd like a copy of this in either a PDF or iBook format stating the names of your potential SLEs. We're always available to discuss this further should you wish.
Please share this email with your staff and governors!
