Managing your inspection

A course for headteachers led by two experienced school leaders with a successful track record of inspection outcomes.

Mark Wilson, CEO of Wellspring Academy Trust, and Duncan Jacques, CEO of Exceed Academies Trust, invite headteachers to attend this one-day course focusing on headteachers and school leaders readiness for inspection.

The session will explore strategies for collating and presenting evidence to help secure a positive inspection outcome as evidenced in the school self-evaluation.

This event focuses on the practical aspects of the headteacher and senior leaders’ roles and the skills required during an inspection, rather than securing participants understanding of the inspection framework and handbook, or recent to changes to these. This programme builds on colleagues’ years of experience in managing their schools’ inspection.

Stepping Up: Aspiring Headteacher or Head of School Programme just £300 after subsidy!

Exceed SCITT and Teaching Schools has secured regional funding to heavily subsidise a programme for aspiring headteachers and heads of school. The development of this programme is an outcome of the highly successful Aspiring Executive Headteacher Programme delivered in both the autumn and spring terms. The programme aims to support high potential leaders to take the step to headship and to add additional capacity to school leaders taking on an executive role in schools or a multi-academy trust.

The £1,000 multi-day programme is available for just £300 per person (payable in the next financial year (April 2017)). Schools can register one or more participants on to this programme due to be launched early in January.

This programme is only available to primary schools in Bradford and Skipton.

Yoga for Schools: Haworth Primary School

Yoga helps to promote positive mental well-being. There are strong links between the emotional well-being of children and young people and their personal and social development and academic performance. Yoga differs from every other form of exercise because as well as exercising your body you are also working on calming the mind.

The Yoga Factory presents Yoga for Schools an innovative exercise programme for school teachers to teach in schools and in the community. Over 4000 teachers have already been trained, bringing yoga to over a half a million children in the UK schools. Teachers have found that not only do the sporty children enjoy the course but also the children that don't normally enjoy PE have been very responsive to the programme.
