St. Alban's Episcopal Church
This Week at St. Alban's

Monday, May 20, 2019

Dear all,

Many thanks to everyone who attended yesterday's parish meeting. If you have follow-up questions, please see me or a vestry member. We're planning a another meeting in a few months to keep you well informed of our financial status and the steps the vestry is taking. I'll include notes from the meeting in next week's email (as well as minutes and financials from next Sunday's vestry meeting.)

In the news: Rick Kern was on KQED's show "Forum" on May 9. Listen here.

This coming Saturday is Barbara Counsell's memorial service (11 am, reception follows). We need some help with the reception, and also some folks to usher, an acolyte and a cupbearer.  Please contact the church office if you can help. (Particularly looking for folks who know how to make tea sandwiches, etc.)

May God's surprising love be deeply present with you this week!

In love and gratitude,
Rev. Julie

P.S. My sermon from yesterday is here.

Youth Spirit Artworks Gala!

This great organization (motto: "art saves lives") works with transition-aged young adults (much the same population as at the YEAH! Shelter). They are creating a "tiny house village" to be located in Oakland -- the first housing community of it's kind in the country!  Learn more
here.

Come celebrate at their Gala
