Pottery Classes anyone? Interreg Experience project for Tunbridge Wells businesses

1. Experience Project phase 2 now open : Could your business benefit?

Here is a quality marketing package worth £6k exclusively for Tunbridge Wells businesses

TWBC is partner in a project where Kent will benefit from €3.3mn of extra funding to increase visitor spend during the quieter months of Autumn and Winter.  Ideal timing for the recovery phase.

'Interreg Experience' aims to attract income through new unique experiential tourism products. For example, niche tours, workshops and experiences which you may already be doing. Rock climbing, or lambing anyone?

The chosen new products from Tunbridge Wells Borough businesses will benefit from £6,000 worth of business support, workshops, training programmes, and increased promotion through shared marketing campaigns to launch your product. It will also be added to a software platform which means your product can be booked in advance from the other side of the world, when the world is ready, (& then your business will be ready) giving you ample time to plan and budget.

Your business could have the perfect product...

This support is ideal right now for those of you who have a service or product that can be supplied during the off peak season.

TWBC will be concentrating on the rural areas and the well-being sector including cultural offers for mental health.

2. Do you have a training need or want to forge a new skill for the sake of your business?

Perhaps this is a vital time to acquire a new skill in order to rebuild your business or a serendipitous time to train in something you have always meant to do.

Visit Kent, the Kent Downs AONB and the University of Surrey, as part of the Interreg Experience project, would like to hear from you. Please explain your training needs by filling in this 10 minute survey by 2 October 2020.

A free package of training will then be developed according to your feedback, many thanks in advance.

  3. NHS app for recording client details

Launching on 24th September, the new NHS COVID-19 app will support businesses to meet the new legal requirements to record contact details of customers, visitors and staff on the premises.
This will allow NHS Test and Trace to contact customers with public health advice should there be a COVID-19 outbreak. Businesses who are already using their own QR system are being encouraged to switch to the NHS Test and Trace QR code. For those who don’t have the app, an alternative method should be maintained to collect the details of customers, for example a handwritten register.

You should create and display a QR code if you are:

- A business, place of worship or community organisation with a physical location that is open to the public;
- An event which is taking place in a physical location.

Get your QR code

Once you have registered for your QR code you are being encouraged to print and display the NHS QR code posters in a place that is visible on entry to the business.
