Dairy Checkoff News and Updates

Building trust and sales in dairy on behalf of Indiana dairy farmers

Powerful New Ways to Talk About Milk - 13 Essential Nutrients!

Why did we go from milk providing 9 essential nutrients to milk providing 13 essential nutrients? Rest assured, milk is still milk. What’s inside is what’s always been inside. We just have more data available in USDA databases that show more nutrients in milk meet the threshold of being a good or excellent source. And, it is good news! We can now substantiate that there are even more nutrients important to wellness in every serving of milk.
Dairy Ambassador Program Applications

Football on the Farm

We hosted Indianapolis Colts placekicker Rodrigo Blankenship on a virtual dairy farm tour. The candor between dairy farmer Kerry Estes and Rodrigo was so natural and energetic, they were thrilled with how the tour went — not to mention there were baby kitties and sweet calves, too! After the tour concluded, Rodrigo stayed online to see Kerry's son kicking a football — even imitating Rodrigo's beloved kick routine. If you need a break from your day, check it out and share with family and friends. Check it out!
Celebrating Dairy at Breakfast

We kicked off National School Breakfast Week (March 8-12) with students at Orchard Park Elementary in Carmel to celebrate the most important meal of the day, breakfast! We were also joined by two of our Indiana dairy farmers, Jeff and John Carter from Carter Farms in Frankfort, as well as our Indianapolis Colts friends Blue Indianapolis Colts Mascot, Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders, and Colts alumni Player, Ryan Diem. You can check out the kickoff celebration recap video HERE.
