April 1st Video Presentation and Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Pinellas Chapter FNPS is suspending our regular in-person chapter meeting, field trips and volunteer projects through the month of April, since our number one priority is the health and safety of our members and volunteers. We will continue to monitor and reassess the situation with hopes of resuming our programs in May. Please check our Facebook Group and website calendar for the most up to date information, or email
  • 4/1 The presentation scheduled for our April 1st Chapter Meeting will be delivered via video conference using Zoom software, at 6:30 pm. You will be able to view the presentation live, with your computer or phone, and submit questions at the end. Follow the directions at the bottom of the next article to view the presentation.
  • 3/21 Kissimmee River Eco Tour - rescheduled for October 24th. Currently fully booked.
  • 4/26 Spring Lupines Caladesi Island Field Trip - Canceled.

Florida Master Naturalist - A Natural History Training Program
Jeanne Murphy, Wildlife Biologist will share her experience in the The Florida Master Naturalist Program, an adult education UF/IFAS Extension program developed by the University of Florida and pro­vided by many Extension offices and participating organizations throughout the state of Florida. FMNP training will benefit persons interested in learning more about Florida’s environment or wishing to increase their knowledge for use in education programs as volun­teers, employees, ecotourism guides, and others.

Jeanne Murphy is a Sr. Wildlife Biologist / School Field Trip, Program, & Ecotour Coordinator and Co-Founder of Sensing Nature, LLC.
