May 6th Video Presentation and Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Pinellas Chapter FNPS is suspending our regular in-person chapter meeting, field trips and volunteer projects through May 15th, since our number one priority is the health and safety of our members and volunteers. We will continue to monitor and reassess the situation with hopes of resuming our programs soon. Please check our Facebook Group and website calendar for the most up-to-date information, or email

  • 5/6 The presentation scheduled for our May 6th Chapter Meeting will be delivered via video conference using Zoom software, at 6:30 pm. For the first time, we will also stream on Facebook Live, from our Facebook Group page. You will be able to view the presentation live, with your computer or phone, and submit questions. Follow the directions at the bottom of the next article to view the presentation.

Zoom Video Presentation and Facebook Live

Selection, Planting and Care of Florida Native Trees, Erik Nobs, ISA 

Erik Nobs, ISA Certified Arborist with O'neill's Tree Service, will present a program on Florida native trees. Erik, and co-presenter Stefan Babjack, Chapter VP, will guide you through the process of selecting the right trees for your site, planting, water management, proper pruning, maintenance and care. Erik will lead a tree walk through Philippe Park in Safety Harbor, with an emphasis on Florida native trees, later in 2020.


The meeting will be broadcast live via Zoom video and on Facebook Live. To view in Facebook, visit our group page at the scheduled time and look for the video.

You will be able to view the presentation on Zoom, but your audio will be muted.  You can submit questions ahead of time to or during the presentation by using the Chat function in Zoom or Comments in Facebook.
