Call for Research Proposals

The Hopland Research & Extension Center (HREC) is soliciting proposals for new and continuing research projects for the period July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018. HREC assesses an annual project fee to all active projects. Submit your proposal electronically, via the “Universal Review System” accessed through the UC ANR Portal by April 21, 2017.
If you do not have access to the UC ANR Portal please contact the Center Administrative Assistant, Amber Shrum (707) 744-1424 Ext. 101 or email: .

Volunteer of the Month

Over 300 K-2nd graders have visited HREC for our "Meet the Lambs" field trip in 2017. We couldn't have done it without the help of our wonderful volunteer, Beth Keiffer, who helped to devise a wool crafting activity and offers her support at our events in every capacity from cooking to crafting! Beth, we really can't thank you enough.
If you are interested in joining our volunteer team, contact Hannah Bird at or call (707) 744 1424 ext. 105
