New Faculty Workshops and Programs

SPRING PROGRAMMING – The Office of Faculty Affairs’ Spring 2018 Faculty Learning Series offers four monthly workshops featuring tracks in leadership/department heads, career development/productivity, working with others, and diversity. Our spring  newsletter emailed to deans and department heads for faculty distribution focuses on diversity and covers professional development resources on campus and beyond, including our Spring Faculty Learning Series. The first FLS session is January 11 from 3-5 pm on “Faculty Performance Evaluations and Mentoring” in the Training and Development Building.
SUMMER AND FALL COHORT PROGRAMS – The 2018 Summer Leadership Institute has two new optional tracks in Research Leadership or Diversity Leadership to supplement this transformative four-day leadership program. The 2018-19 Aspire Fellows Program will help faculty pursue a high-impact project during the academic year. Further information is coming soon with nominations for these impactful programs due in May or June.

Call for Applications for the 2018 CTL Fellows for Innovative Teaching

Co-funded by the Office of the Vice President for Instruction and the Center for Teaching and Learning, the 2018 cohort of the CTL Fellows for Innovative Teaching will focus on strategies for scaling the implementation of Open Educational Resources (OERs) across campus. The activities for this Fellowship will begin in March 2018 and conclude in December 2018. Fellows will receive $5,000 to support instructional innovation using OERs in their departments and programs. Applications due Feb. 9.​
