WATER TECHNOLOGY DISTRICT
Reed Street Yards (RSY) global water technology business park continues to take shape with the ongoing construction of Zurn Industries’ $14 million global headquarters, slated for completion in 2016. Just beyond RSY, Global Water Center II is slated to begin construction soon. The Water Council recently announced a $750,000 Targeted Industry Promotion investment from Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, to subsidize office space for eligible, early-stage water tech companies. BLUE TALENT
Pentair continues to be a champion of The Water Council’s Talent & Education Committee’s goal of building the Water Generation. In early 2016, our partner Community Connections, Inc. received a $21,000 grant from the Pentair Foundation.
The purpose of this project is to expose economically disadvantaged students to in-demand career pathways in the emergent water industry in Southeastern Wisconsin, inspire them to pursue water careers, and prepare them with skills they’ll need to succeed in college, career, and beyond.

WATER RESEARCH & INNOVATION
The Water Equipment and Policy (WEP) Research Center is pleased to announce three new members. The U.S Environmental Protection Agency, and the Wisconsin Wastewater Treatment Utilities of the cities of Fond du Lac and Green Bay, also known as New Water have joined WEP in 2016.WEP now has 15 industry members and two university members.
