Help the U.S. Small Business Administration recognize outstanding leaders in the small business community. The deadlines for the 2016 Small Business Administration Award Nominations are December 30 for State Awards and January 11 for National Awards. The clock is ticking but there is still time to nominate a company for one of the many categories.
The Water Council, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Business Higher Education Forum (BHEF) are partnering to expand talent in water-related fields. The program, called SySTEM, is focused on assisting technical college students from the region to transition to the University, in high demand water-related fields. Recently, the BHEF leaders and the leaders of the Association of Land Grant Universities (APLU) invited Chancellor Mark Mone (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee), Associate Vice Chancellor Water Technology R&D, David Garman (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Freshwater Sciences), and Matt Bednarski, Senior Engineer of GRAEF who represented The Water Council, to speak on a panel sharing our successes.
The water stewardship community can now directly access AWS-North America’s web content directly, at While content is still housed on The Water Council’s website, the AWS Regional Partner Organization for North America, internet users can directly access valuable and timely information on the full range of AWS activities taking place throughout North America. Water users can also start their water stewardship journey on the site, with helpful links, tools and of course access to the AWS Global Network and AWS Standard.
