From the Desk of the Chief of Staff:
 Dear Friends,
This week, our Capitol office has received an influx of phone calls relating to the Houston Housing Authority's proposed "affordable housing" project at 2640 Fountainview Drive. Thank you for your calls and emails and for being informed citizens. We have followed this closely since last fall and have been working tirelessly on your behalf.
We have registered our complaints and helped our other elected officials do the same. City Councilman Greg Travis joined in even before he took office, and HISD Trustee Harvin Moore has been a strong and vocal opponent of the project and very protective of our neighborhoods and schools. Many of you have received a letter from Congressman Culberson about the project. We are pleased that he too has joined our efforts to help fight this unnecessary, federally-funded boondoggle.
You might want to send your own letter to the Houston Housing Authority in advance of their March 9th hearing. Rep. Murphy's letter, and letters from other local officials, opposing the project can be viewed on the Stop Fountainview Project website at: http://www.stopfountainviewproject.org/. Visit this link for more information and ways to become involved.
Below you will find contact information that may be helpful to you. As always, feel free to contact us directly should you need any further assistance.
Sincerely,

Martha Bell Liner
Chief of Staff
State Representative Jim Murphy
