A global movement that starts with you


While they may seem small, the actions you take every day to reduce your energy, water, waste and greenhouse gas emissions are part of a global movement. There are people just like you across Perth, throughout Australia and around the world taking one small step at a time to make a big difference.

World Ocean's Day, Monday 8 June


World Ocean's Day better bag challengeJune also hosts World Ocean’s Day. To help our ocean and its animals, people around the world are promising to stop using disposable plastic bags for one year. This is an example of a simple step that you can take that when multiplied across the world can make tonnes of difference (literally). Visit World Ocean’s Day to find out more. You may like to extend your promise to cut out all single use plastic for the month of July as part of Plastic Free July, an initiative that started right here is Western Australia and is taking hold across the globe.

Have you been saying “I would love to get into aquaponics but don’t know where to start” or “it’s all too hard”?  Come along to Jackie Dines house, a Jarrahdale local for a talk on all things aquaponics and afternoon tea.  Jackie eats fish caught in the backyard and grows salad and veggies that are fed from the fish. Aquaponics are suitable for any size yard. Awesome!
