The Council and Clerk would like to thank all members of the community who have assisted in displays and events during the last year.  Celebrations and commemoratives have been enjoyed by both residents and visitors alike and would not be as enjoyable without your support.

During the last meeting of Council a request was made for suggestions to mark the 90th Birthday of HRH Queen Elizabeth II this year. Beacon lighting across the Country is to take place on Thursday 21 April 2016 and 3 other major events will take place during June.  On  the weekend of March 4 - 6  "Clean for The Queen for Her Majesty's 90th birthday".  These are the current suggestions
If you have further ideas please let the Clerk or one of the Council know so that they can be considered at the March meeting

Rosedale East - Dog Mess on Green

The Clerk has received a number of complaints regarding dog mess near the turn around area for the school bus.  The link below provides information which is Ryedale specific regarding the Dog Warden service and current legislation regarding dog fouling. Please let the Clerk know if the dog bin is over full to arrange an increase in emptying.

"Always deal with your dog's mess! Don't leave dog mess on paths or areas where people walk. Arable crops and grass are used for producing food for people or livestock, so always clean up in farmland too – dog faeces infected with the parasite 'Neospora caninum' can infect cattle herds, causing abortions and ongoing infection. The Council deferred the meeting in January by one week due to adverse weather conditions.  A draft copy of the minutes of the meeting can be found by clicking the button below.

During the meeting the Council agreed the precept for the period 2016/17 and agreed dates for the Ordinary meetings during 2016/17.  A pdf version of this list is available on the website.
