Fall Semester Recap

The Eta Kappa collegians are finishing up their semester and will leave for the holiday break reflecting on a wonderful semester. Fall 2015 has been a season of successes for the chapter:

  • Recognition as NC State Sorority of the Year for the second straight year
  • Homecoming Competition win with Sigma Nu, also second year in a row
  • Welcoming more than 50 wonderful new sisters
  • Order of Omega Honor Society membership for Juliana Filippini, Shellie Hubbard, Caroline Mann, Shelby Snedecor, Brooke Stoll
We’ve also watched the chapter’s new home at 2300 Greek Village Drive take shape, and received much-needed support for the Capital Campaign.
Welcome our Fall 2015 initiates
The 54 collegians who pledged in September have been initiated into full membership in Delta Gamma. In addition, two women who have demonstrated their commitment to supporting Delta Gamma and its goals and values were initiated as alumnae.

$20,000 Challenge
Inspired by the long-awaited Ground Breaking for the new Eta Kappa chapter house, an anonymous Delta Gamma donor offered a Capital Campaign matching challenge of up to $20,000.
Any new or increased gift through December 31, 2015 will count toward the $20,000 matching challenge. We are more than halfway to our goal, but the clock is ticking.

We need to raise an additional $500,000 in the next year to help our collegians avoid paying steeper dues than other sororities at NC State.
You may make tax-deductible gifts to support the new house through the NCSU Foundation or the Delta Gamma Foundation
The collegians who live in the house share special bonds of sisterhood forged by living, studying, and playing together. Resident Director Ellen Milroy keeps the house running smoothly and supports the collegians. A registered nurse who is pursuing an advanced degree in college administration, Ellen came on board in Fall 2014, and will be graduating and moving on in Spring 2016. We will be sorry to see her go, but as one of our two new alumnae initiates she will always be our Delta Gamma sister!
