Collegian Attends Lewis Institute

Abby Nuckols, Eta Kappa collegian, traveled to Ohio to represent N.C. State’s Eta Kappa chapter of Delta Gamma’s June 10–14 Lewis Institute. The institute is a values-based leadership experience focused on educating Delta Gammas to lead their chapters with integrity.

“The Lewis Institute was an amazing experience that allowed me to learn more about myself, my chapter, and more about my love for Delta Gamma. I loved connecting with other Delta Gammas from across the country who share a common bond and similar values and ideas as myself. Thanks to the Lewis Institute, I am eager to lead my chapter with my new experiences and knowledge!”
Welcome Home!
After a fun-filled summer of study abroad trips, internship opportunities, and time spent with friends and family, the Eta Kappa collegians will move back into the chapter house on August 8.
Upcoming dates:
Monday, August 10–26: Recruitment Work Week
Wednesday, August 19: Classes begin
Friday, September 11: Recruitment begins

Snaps to our collegians working hard to welcome Potential New Members!

Progress of DG at 2300
Today, slab concrete is being poured! Heavy rains slowed the start of construction, and continued rain caused more problems and delays.  To keep us on schedule, the contractor removed three inches of soil at the front of the lot and eighteen inches in the center around the elevator shaft, and putting down rock to form a stable base for the slab.
"I Wanna Be a DG..."

The Capital Campaign Matching Challenge is still available!

We need $5,000 in new gifts this week! The donor will match that $5,000, giving us the $10,000 to pay for solving the mud problems and keeping the house on schedule.

Eta Kappa charter member Carolyn Moore Bookholt took the lead in designing our crisp new site. Carolyn’s chapter website won the inaugural Barbara Nussa Boersma award at Delta Gamma Convention in 2004.
Welcome Advisory Team Chair (ATC) Lane Harris Greene

The chapter’s long-time ATC Gretchen Nadler Clifton has moved on to a position on the Delta Gamma regional team. Gretchen was a superb ATC and will be missed! Eta Kappa Chapter is fortunate that alumna Lane Harris Greene has agreed to be the new ATC. Lane served as chapter president and after graduation in 2012 spent a year visiting Delta Gamma chapters in North America as a Collegiate Development Consultant. She has settled here, and works in human resources at Kimley-Horn & Associates in Cary.
