Massachusetts Voter Table and partners presenting MA Democracy Jeopardy - 3/4 and 3/10

How does a bill really become a law? What's the difference between your city councilor and your state representative? What's the best way to get your elected officials to take the needs of your family and your neighbors seriously?

Join us for a workshop on how to to make your issues a priority at the statehouse and in city hall. We'll demystify the process using a case study about rent control, and then we'll play Jeopardy!

Reflecting back on our very first meeting in 2015, our Coalition has changed shapes over the years, but continues to grow and expand our capacity to produce and provide high-quality non-partisan information about the races, candidates and issues; and register and reach Lowell voters to increase turnout.

You can reply to this message if you would like to join a working committee. The following are currently scheduling meetings and seeking additional support:
  • Materials and Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Partnerships and Operations
  • Youth Development

We are welcoming 24 prospective candidates, campaign support team members, and residents considering running in the future!

We will be meeting in March and April to learn:

campaign basics, more on governing in local and state office, and we'll have a chance to network and get their questions answered.

With sincere thanks to our partners and all who are helping to get this first series off the ground! Massachusetts Alliance, Commonwealth Seminar, New American Leaders, and others!
