Spring 1- 14th February 

As a Hub, we sit across a range of areas which includes different local authorities - we are happy to see so many colleagues now on their half term break and know they will be getting a much earned rest. And for Derby and Derbyshire schools, we will be partaking in just under a week's time. So we hope that whenever you may be receiving this bulletin, you find it useful to help you prepare for the new half term ahead of us. 

Quick headlines include:
- a new fully funded support offer for early career teachers (years 2-4) in Derby city 
- the upcoming deadline for NPQs -the DfE potal is closing after 28th February and will not be opening until May-June for Autumn term starters. 
- all January starter ECTs and mentors will have now received their logon to the portal and started their full induction training

Early Career Framework: January Starters 
All January starter ECTs and mentors will have now received their logon to the portal and started their full induction training. We would encourage induction tutors to touch base with colleagues, ahead of their first formal reporting window at the end of the Spring term.

For schools interested in our next cohort of NPQs fully funded by the DfE, we can confirm that the DfE portal for applications will close after February 28th. CLICK HERE for more details.
