I wasn't sure whether to call this the winter or spring newsletter because we're still somewhere in between, and I ended up going with winter so I can conclude with a hope for a beautiful spring!
We've been very busy as always - a beautiful 2017 harvest, a new store on Amazon, lots of groups at our Visitors Center, and so much more. Below is a selection of the highlights. Waiting to see you or, at the very least, hear from you!
Yours as always,
#NEW ON AMAZON!
We recently launched our online store on Amazon and you'll see a collection of our olive oils which can be delivered directly to your door. You can also order directly from us through our gift catalog which you can find on our site. You can do this in bulk, like HP which recently gave their VIP event visitors a Sindyanna gift pack and IKARwhich added our olive oil to their Purim basket (mishloach manot), or privately - our products make wonderful socially responsible Passover gifts for your loved ones!
#EXCELLENT 2017 HARVEST
We reaped a great harvest last year at our Scottish olive grove in the Jesreel Valley and at our Oasis organic olive grove in Wadi Ara, and are now starting to see the results. We have already picked up three honorable mentions at Israel's national olive oil competition for our Barne'a-Coratina Organic Blend, Suri Organic and Piquel.
We also co-hosted a workshop at the Volcani Center, a highly esteemed agricultural research institute in Israel. The event, called Tasting the Olive Oil of the Future, showcased new olive oil varietals including our new patent-pending Lavie olive which is already being called Israel's next olive oil varietal. Take a look at the event's photo album to learn more.
#VISITORS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD
Our visitors center in Kfar Kanna continues to attract visitors from around the world. More than four thousand visitors in 2017 alone came to share our vision of a just society with peace and equal opportunity for all.
Here's a testimonial from a Boston group led by Rabbi Keith Stern who summed up the experience as follows:
"We had a wonderful and inspiring experience at Sindyanna. Every person we met was kind and thoughtful. We learned so much more about the challenges and opportunities for Arab and Jewish cooperation, not to mention some of the barriers to women’s empowerment and the dedication of people we met to push through those barriers. Thanks so much for being a host; it was truly an inspiring experience. We will certainly plan to return whenever we bring groups to Israel from our temple."
Our visitors get an authentic experience of people, flavors and stories through olive oil tastings, meals and inter-cultural dialogs. Many of our visitors join one of our unique basket weaving workshops where they can take home what they wove as a souvenir. Watch our short video to see more!
