CLASSES START THE WEEK OF MAY 16TH

Rio Rowers, the lake is full and open for business. Classes are listed on the website and we want to see YOU on the water! The Club and Coach Figgins will be utilizing TeamStuff for classes and event RSVP's. You can use the TeamStuff App on your phone or on your laptop or desktop. TeamStuff will replace the Google Docs spreadsheet for "RSVP'ing" for class. Again, it's important to RSVP as early as possible so that Coach can set boats and workouts and we can be efficient in the boathouse. Once you've signed up for classes, you will be added to the TeamStuff Roster for your class for easy RSVP'ing. OPEN ROW CERTIFICATION
If you are looking to get your Open Row Certification, we have just streamlined the process to help get you on the water. We've formatted it similar to a class and have a link to registration on the Classes page. Our first Open Row Certification date will be June 18th at 10:30 am. The cost for the class is just $25. Certification will be coached and awarded by Coach Figgins. If you have questions, please contact Classes Coordinator, Stephanie at stephaniep@rowrio.org.

SPECIAL EVENTS

TEMPE TOWN LAKE DAY

Saturday, May 14th
8:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Local news stations will be at the lake to promote Tempe Town Lake Day on May 14^th. RSRC will have its tent set up on the south side of the lake near the Tempe Arts Center. We'd love to have RSRC rowers spend time at the tent and get the word out!
This event will take place at the TCA near the new Dam. There will be fun activities for the whole family like Touch a Truck, Live Music and Dam Dedication at 9am. The event is public; everyone is invited to stop by to learn more about this massive project the City of Tempe has just completed. This event is free.

ROWING THIS WEEK
Classes may be a week out, but the lake is open and ready for business. C'mon down this week and fall in love with rowing all over again. Look for emails from Coach Figgins for dates and times.
