Steps for Change Challenge,

Join with us to take a few more steps to help our global neighbours, who struggle daily for healthcare, nutrition and liveable cities – things most of us take for granted. 

With our lifestyle, it takes 10,000 steps (about 8km) a day to stay healthy. Many of our global neighbours take many or more steps to reach the necessities of life. 

For example, a farmer in Bolivia takes as many as 7,920 steps to collect fresh water; a mother in Nepal, almost 12,000 steps to deliver her baby in a safe facility, or a staggering 25,080 steps if she needs an emergency procedure.

HealthBridge Steps for Change Challenge is a virtual journey that takes place from Sept. 25 to Oct. 22, 2016.

Challenge yourself to stay fit by logging an average of 10,000 steps a day for 4 weeks, and step into the shoes of our global neighbours as you reach various milestones. This virtual journey is the equivalent of walking from Dehli, India to Agra and back again.
Participants who raise $250 or more will have their registration fee waived.
There will be prizes for top fundraisers.
  • First prize – Wilderness Tours mini-vacation package, with cedar cabin for 4
  • Second prize – Via Rail travel voucher valued at $1,000

Our goal is to raise $20,000, with all proceeds going to HealthBridge programs supporting vulnerable populations in the Americas, Asia, and Africa.
