1) If you could have another breed, what would it be?
If it could be a breed I have had in the past, but currently don't own it would be an American Staffordshire Terrier. If it has to be a new breed to our household it would be a German Pinscher.
2) How many shows a month do you attend, and how many dogs do you normally take?
Unfortunately due to health reasons I don't show anymore. However, I do attend 1-3 weekends a month to watch. Plus, I take 1-3 dogs per show and have handlers and my husband, show our dogs.
3) If you could only attend one "must do" show a year, what would it be?
Due to my dialysis schedule I usually have to stick close to home, with my favorite show being a limited breed show in White Rock BC called Sporting Dog. However, if I had more flexibility, the all breed show would have to be the Alberta Kennel Club Summer show at Spruce Meadows.
4) Besides your dogs, do you have any other animals?
We had a veteran kitty until earlier this year. We are researching a few breeds and plan to get another cat one day.
5) Name something that is on your "life" bucket list to do?
Once I'm transplanted, I would like to attend the Crufts dog show again one day.
6) Would you like to see critiques at shows in North America?
Absolutely! I have been to some of the FCI shows in Europe and like written critiques. I think it would be a valuable addition to CKC shows.
7) What is your favorite way to relax?
It would have to be Netflix, and chill with my husband and our dogs.
8) What is your current 5 - year plan in dogs?
In the next 5 years I'd like to breed, own and show a Best In Show winning dog.
9) Do you do pet grooming, or pet boarding for dogs you have bred, and do you have a commercial pet grooming and boarding business?
Yes, I offer grooming and pet boarding for the dogs we have bred. I enjoy seeing my four-legged "grand-kids" as much as possible.
10) What breed or all breed clubs are you a member of?
