Multi Best In Show, Reserve Best In Show Canadian Grand Champion, American Grand Champion
Euphoria's Prince Charming
Billy Milne and Jessica Anderson are proud to have Florian on this week’s front cover.
Billy met his Prince Charming for the first time in December of 2015 in Florida at Eukanuba. His breeder/owner Jessica showed him at the Maltese Specialty where he was awarded Best of Winners from the bred by class under Maltese specialist judge Barbara Alderman.
Florian was shown a few times by Tonia Holibaugh in January and early February and received multiple group placements, prior to New York in February 2016 where he would then come to Canada.
He was awarded Best of Breed at the Progressive Toy Dog Club in New York under breeder/judge Wendy Paquette with Tonia on his lead.
Florian’s first show in Canada was in March with Lynda, he was awarded Group Firsts from the classes under judges Dana Cline and Heather Langfeld.
Florian had a very impressive record in Canada in 2016. He was shown on a very limited basis, 58 times in the whole year.
He was awarded:
4 Best in Shows
8 Reserve Best in Shows
35 Group Firsts
12 Group Seconds
5 Group Thirds
2 Group Fourths
He was:
Canada’s #1 Maltese
#5 Toy
We would like to thank all of the judges who awarded him so highly in his limited appearances.
He was awarded, by many of our most respected toy breeder judges, and all rounder judges. We are most appreciative of all the lovely comments we received.
Florian is, currently back in the USA with Jessica, where he will be shown beginning this weekend. Billy and Lynda and “Natalie Dachshund” look forward to meeting Florian and Jessica at the Maltese National in April in North Carolina.

American and Canadian Champion
Tzo Wens Queen of Hearts
Rhonda Holloway and John Kolodziej are pleased to introduce their Chinese Shar-Pei, Juice, on this week’s back cover.
In the 80's I was an avid owner breeder of the Chinese Shar-Pei and had to stop due to personal reasons. I promised myself one day I would come back to the breed. The time had come last year for my husband and I to find the puppy I had been longing for!
Our search began in Canada, there weren’t any puppies of show quality available here, we found Tzo Wens Queen of Hearts "Juice" in the United States from long time breeder and Shar-Pei legend Barbara LaVere. I knew of Barbara's history with the breed and how she always bred for health and soundness first. I was looking for a horse coat but as soon as we saw Juice who is a brush coat, we fell in LOVE!
The first thing about her was that she was a very saucy little thing! Right there I knew she had a show personality. She has a beautiful straight front and moved really well. She was perfectly square with great eyes, pigment, and bite, and has such a beautiful red color that she gets from her father GCH TZO WEN N XIN JIN HIT THE JACK POT. They could be twins. Her mother is TZO WEN N XIAO COUNTING STARRS WITH XIN JIN who is a beautiful horse coat with great health and an amazing temperament.

Juice has continued to mature into a real beauty. The judges LOVE her movement, type, and balance. We hear comments all the time about what great expression she has.
Juice has become a champion in the US with back-to-back five point majors, at a specialty in Michigan finishing her US championship in style.
It all started with her first show at the American Nationals, where she took best American Bred Puppy. Then she went to Berkshire Specialty and took Best Puppy in Sweeps, from there it was an honor to win 6-9 puppy class and take Best of Breed over specials to Non Sporting Group Winner, then on to BIS owner handled all in one day.

Last weekend in Woodstock she became a Canadian Champion, handled by Norm Fargo and in just four Canadian shows took Best of Breed four times. We are now starting her grand championships in both countries, with Norm Fargo as her handler in Canada and look forward to all her future wins!
Our thanks to Barbara LaVere and Tammy Bohlke who bred this beautiful girl and Tammy who handled Juice so beautifully in the US.
And true to a Shar-Pei as much as I love her, she only has eyes for one and that’s my husband.
