Soul Motion® news from Leela
and faculty visiting our Totnes dance community -
Michael Molin-Skelton & Arjuna Vinn Martí
Dear dancers,
I'm writing with news. Not only are we about to host our dear teacher Michael Molin-Skelton from the USA in October, but I will soon after hand my classes over for a while to my beloved Adam who is continuing his path training as a Soul Motion teacher. For autumn, during this last trimester of growing our baby I will continue to lead classes in Totnes and around Devon. Please join me during this time or Adam thereafter, at our treasured Friday group.
Looking further ahead, I'm delighted to announce that Arjuna Vinn Martí will return in June to lead 'Freedom to Soar' here in Dartington, Totnes. So many offerings - a dance of abundance - our arms are open to welcome you.

With love

"we will actively step into the participation required to belong, responding to the call that stirs a deep inner longing to fall into the place we call home. we will experience the possibility of resting through our bodies, and listen to silences within; to trust and surrender as gravity repeatedly tells us, 'i have a place for you: it is called here.' " ~ Michael

"In Soul Motion sessions we come together to practice an embodied state of living and being on and off the dance floor. We cultivate relaxation in the body, through movement inquiries designed to restore a natural ordinariness. We create opportunities to enjoy the ease of expression, the abundance of creativity, and the naturalness of grace. We also ground ourselves in the dances of spaciousness, relationships, and sacredness. In a dancing space of  laughter and learning we pause in the presence of silence to deeply listen, we orient our dance to the orbital view that everything is shifting and changing, and we open to the inspiration from everything that surrounds.

Soul Motion is a dance of practicing to remember our song. With a light touch we dance the dance of liberation and cultivate the power of presence.
We soar high above any tensions and constrictions that hold us fixed in views about dance, grace, expression, and being enough. We dance as an environment that moves beyond scripted limitations of the body and ancient anxieties of the mind to jump feet first into dances of openness and curiosity.

Soul Motion is a conscious dance practice that uses facilitated and unscripted movement, music from all genres, and stillness practice to access our creative selves in relationships and dialogue with that divine spark that animates us all. This practice extends beyond the dance floor into the everyday dance as it offers principles for living a life more open, more relaxed, and more creative. It offers invitations to experience the excitement, the energy, and the enlivened presence that dances us all. Got it?  Good. Let's dance!"
