Dear Friend of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i,

It's the beginning of a new school year and we are so excited to share all that is going on!

On Hawaii Island we are happy to welcome two new staff members to the team, on Kauai we are in the midst of planning our 10th anniversary celebration for 2017, on Maui we are getting ready to host the first annual miniature golf tournament on September 24, and on Oahu we are all feeling "groovy" to kick off the Disco Bowl for Kids' Sake on September 10 and 17 and the Finance Factors Golf Tournament on September 22!

Drop us a line...we'd love to hear what's going on with you!

With aloha,
Dennis Brown

Each month our Holomua group gets together for a fun activity. Last month, the group had a book club meet-up to discuss SPEAK, by Laurie Halse Anderson. All Bigs and Littles had read the book over the summer and the discussion was awesome. Mahalos to all for the great turnout!

"Being a Big doesn't fit with my life right now, but I decided to do the next best thing, which is to be a BBBS Match Maker. Match Makers is a monthly giving program that provides steady support to the BBBS agency. Having a stable support system is paramount to a successful Big/Little match. Match Makers provides that sustained stable support."
