Aloha Friend of Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai'i,

Are you ready for the new school year to begin? We are ready to get back into the SWING of things with THREE BIG events statewide! Hawai‘i Island is saying “pie” to summer with Dessert before Dinner, O‘ahu is ready to bowl with an All-Star Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and Maui is “wining” down summer with Perfect Pairings Maui!

Hawai‘i Island hosted their first Dessert Before Dinner last year and it was a huge success! Be there on Saturday, August 25, 2018 to show your support and enjoy delicious desserts, pupus, and entertainment all before dinner!!

Our biggest event of the year on O‘ahu is going to be an All-Star event! Bowl for Kids’ Sake is right around the corner on September 15 and 22, 2018. Our goal is to raise $300,000 to put towards our programs that empower the keiki of Hawai‘i. Sponsorship opportunities are available, so gather your All-Stars and register today.

Join us to enjoy regional cuisine from Mauka Makai with local craft beer from Maui Brewing Co. and small-batch spirits from Ocean Vodka and Kula Rum at Perfect Pairings Maui on Saturday, September 29, 2018.

We are grateful to have our community be a part of our growing Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai‘i ‘Ohana. Mahalo for supporting these amazing fundraising events and for partnering with us to make a difference and change countless lives.

With gratitude and aloha,

Dennis Brown
President / CEO
(and Hawaii's first "Little Brother")
We are proud to present this month’s Match Maker of the Month, Elizabeth Stone. Elizabeth is a Board Member and has been a Match Maker since February 2017. Here’s what she has to say about our organization and our programs:
"I love the Match Makers program because it lets me continually keep my commitment to Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai‘i (BBBSH) without having to think about it. I feel good each month when I remember that I didn’t forget to give. BBBSH is so wonderful because it brings together Littles, who get another older teen, in the school-based program, or an adult, in the community-based program, to share experiences, and learn from each other. The Littles get a friend, advisor and guide for life experiences and the Bigs learn from their Littles and watch how the Littles grow in numerous ways. It’s the best of both worlds!” - Elizabeth Stone
