Aloha Bigs, Littles, Families, and Friends!

While many of the kids we serve enjoyed some time off for spring break this March, we've been hard at work raising funds and awareness for our programs.
  • BBBS of Kauai hosted the Wild West Bowl for Kids' Sake on March 7th, beating the goal of $25,000 and raising a record $28,500 for local youth!

  • BBBS of Oahu is excited to announce our next Perfect Pairings event, this time hosted by Vino and Master Sommelier Chuck Furuya on May 24th.

  • BBBS of Maui is gearing up for the 28th annual Bowl for Kids' Sake on June 20th - this year the theme is Super Bowl!

  • BBBS of Hawaii Island is opening their doors and beginning an all-new program in Waimea to serve more youth in West Hawaii.
It's an exciting spring, and we're thankful you're joining us on this journey!

With much aloha,
Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii

When we first matched Little Brother Makali`i and Big Brother Corbin three years ago, Makali`i was a very shy, soft-spoken 11-year-old (as many 11-year-old boys are). Now at 14, Makali`i is the Student Council President and Captain of his volleyball team! Click the picture to watch this match's story, beautifully captured by former Big Brother Alan Sangpan from Isle Media!

Mahalo to Ken and Deb LaPierre from the Academy Mortgage Team for hosting a “Fun Day” and donating backpacks full of supplies for our School-Based programs! Your generosity, donations, and day of pizza, games and dancing brought joy to our matches. The kids can’t stop talking about how much fun they had, the awesome backpacks, and the opportunity to use their new karaoke machine!

Little Sister Kelly-Jo Molina and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maui are proud to participate in the "Be A Jerk"  educational awareness campaign on Maui. This campaign encourages adults to "be a jerk" and not give alcohol to anyone under 21. Kelly-Jo submitted the "don't fall for alcohol" tagline to target teens for the county-wide #beajerkmaui competition and came in second place for the most likes on Facebook and Instagram.
