We're excited to announce the newest hires to our Sunny Days team!

Please welcome Jessica Shirley, front office manager, to Sunny Days. Jessica earned her Medical Billing and Coding certificate in 2013 and has worked in the healthcare industry since.

Please welcome Lori Crosmer, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has worked in the social work field since 2005. Lori received her MSW in 2009 from The Ohio State University. Lori has a vast experience working with many populations, including working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Tips from an Autism mom

Practice self care, you deserve it! You cannot take care of anyone else, if you don't take care of yourself.
Create a routine. Kids, young and old on the spectrum, crave routine. Not only will this scratch an itch they crave, it will make your life easier when they're not caught off guard by daily changes!
It takes a village! Never be afraid to ask for help. Super heroes get tired too and need to rest and recharge! Ask for help when you need it!
Celebrate every accomplishment and Milestone! Your child may be delayed or hit milestones later than other children but be sure to celebrate every little accomplishment. They've worked hard for this milestone and deserve to be celebrated!
Be proud of your child, let them know! Embrace every weird quirky behavior, action and emotion. Not only will they be excited to know you're proud but you'll help them build confidence and self esteem.
