Dear friends of Frontier Lodge,

Christmas season is upon us and our family is looking forward to being able to gather together and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

How exciting to think that this Christmas, there are Frontier Lodge campers celebrating the birth of Christ with a new understanding of who Jesus is, thanks to their time at camp this summer! What a privilege to be part of a ministry that introduces the next generation to Jesus.

This was a summer of growth and change for Frontier Lodge. Perhaps you’ve noticed the new and improved gym (The Ark) by the waterfront! The changes will continue this year with a leadership transition. We’re especially excited by the return to regular programming and are celebrating hosting some very full weeks of camp this summer. We were reminded of just how significant it is for kids to encounter Jesus through the camp experience, but also for our youth to grow and develop through the experience of leading out as counselors and camp staff.

It’s amazing to consider just how many leaders that we can see in churches across Quebec and beyond who have been formed by their time at Frontier Lodge. Camp really is a unique environment where campers encounter Jesus and are formed into mature disciples! We’re so grateful to Rich and Trish for the legacy of their investment in young leaders over the last number of years.

We’re convinced of the value of camp for the spiritual and social development of young people, so we subsidize the cost of attending camp so that more campers and counselors can participate. We would hate for finances to ever be a barrier to someone experiencing God’s love and care for them through the camp environment.

As we come to the end of 2022, we’re facing an operational shortfall of $65,000 related to this increased cost of running camp, along with the high number of campers that we were able to serve this year. Would you consider making a gift to camp this Christmas, so that we can continue to make camp accessible to every child?

Frontier Lodge was founded in faith, and we continue to trust in God’s faithful provision for us each year.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas,
