New WOMEX 15 Showcase Acts Announced

Dear WOMEXicans,

The next round of artists set to perform as part of this year's Showcase Festival is now locked in! These artists join the Official Selection line-up and will take to the stage at WOMEX 15, running from 21 - 25 October in Budapest, Hungary.

We are also delighted to say that there has been a 10 percent rise in registrations in comparison to the same time last year - check out who's coming and start setting up meetings via the list of delegates, companies and exhibitors on our website.

Kind regards from your WOMEX team

Read This: Culture in Exile

In cooperation with Morgenland Festival and Nights of Ramadan Festival, where the Syrian Trio Hewar will play tonight under the motto Syria - Culture in Exile, we enriched our "Refugees in Music" feature by conducting an interview with Dima Orsho and Stefan Weber of the Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin.
As well as previewing the concert, the two discuss the impact that displacement has on culture and the arts.

Find Out Who Is Coming to WOMEX 15

Take a look at who will join us in Budapest for WOMEX 15 later this year - a list of individual delegates, companies and exhibitors who have registered and paid is now on our website.

The list links to the profile of each in virtualWOMEX where you will also find contact details. Alternatively, you can also use the advanced search function in virtualWOMEX to refine your search (for example, if you want to find delegates from specific countries).

Given that WOMEXicans will now start to look each other up, now is the time to refresh your profile in virtualWOMEX! Update your details, take the time to enter some of your artists, events or records and also consider posting some news to show who you are and what you are offering.
