You may recall last time I gave you an introduction to the sorts of services that I provide.
This time rather than making you read a whole lot of information, you can see the sorts of jobs that I tackle on a daily basis.
Shotgun restorations are a large part of my work and the skills and processes used are valid for repairs and custom work on other areas of the trade.
You will see more examples of this in future newsletters, or for those keen on more information now, please click and follow the links at the bottom of the page.
Just remember that although you may consider postage to be a burden, it's offset by my quick turn around times and quality workmanship.

Looking forward to sharing the love of guns and interests in my life with you.

Happy shooting,
Rolf Hey.

Re-jointing and getting barrels back on face above using smoke for checking fit.
Below left, browning of damascus barrels.
Below right, re-laying of ribs due to separation.
Above, leather covered pads, stock refinishing and checkering. This pad is longer than usual but the customer wanted to cover a further extension. The customer is always right!
Below, repairing someones previous repair attempt and covering with walnut inlays.
Above, refinishing, removing dents and re-blacking of barrels.
Below left, making springs for Deeley ejector box. All size springs can be made.
Below right, repairs to single trigger mechanisms.

Gunsmithing is indeed an art and takes us into a world where
grubby fingers, the smell of gun oil, tallow, woodshavings and linseed oil are the norm.
