Dear <<First Name>>,
I hope you’re well.
The 360Giving team are delighted to announce that we have upgraded our 360Insights tool (which includes <<Funder name>>’s grants data), to make it even more useful for the funding community. You can see the new version of 360Insights here and your funder page here.
We’ve built several brand new features for funders to explore. They are:
-
The homepage - you can now see visualisations about the 360Giving dataset as a whole, which you can filter by funders, funder organisation types, UK countries, English regions and local authorities. This means that you can make and display different data visualisations that relate to your specific areas of interest.
-
Heatmap - you can see a heatmap of the grants data which you can use to select by UK countries and English regions, or zoom in to view the grants by local authority.
-
Funder search and filter - you can now view your entire published data in one place, and alongside data from any other funder that publishes 360Giving data, meaning that you can view your data together with your peers.
-
Funding organisation type filter - you can filter the data by funding organisation type to narrow down your selection. For example, you can view just the grants made by Lottery distributors.
-
Linking to GrantNav - you can make a search in 360Insights and open it in GrantNav - our flagship database - to view and explore specific grants displayed in more detail.
-
Downloading individual funder reports - you can now access a printer-friendly version of the Insights page which you can share with colleagues and Trustees as a PDF. It’s a really useful snapshot that shows the profile of your grants and grantees.

View over 600,000 grants on 360Insights
<<Organisation>> is one of a community of over 220 funders that publish their grants data in the 360Giving Data Standard. This means that 360Insights now shows over £110bn of grants data, and over 600,000 grants can be explored and analysed. Over 30,000 people access the data annually through the 360Giving tools alone, and we’re aiming for this number to increase as a result of this major upgrade to 360Insights.
Your 360Insights link
As part of the upgrade, your unique organisational link is changing to become more user-friendly. You can find your new 360Insights page here: <<360Insights link>>.
Why not include a link to your 360Insights page on your website? It’s a visual, tangible and easy-to-access way to demonstrate the impact of your grantmaking and supports transparency.
If you already have a link to your individual 360Insights page on your website, we’d recommend updating it to the new link. We have set up a redirect, so the link shouldn’t be broken, but it’s better to make sure the most up to date version is used.
Share your feedback
We hope that you’ll find this to be a helpful tool for displaying your data. We also hope that it helps you to understand your funding as a part of the wider UK grantmaking picture.
Please do feed back to us on how you have used 360Insights in your work, and don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team if there is anything more we or the tool can do to support you on your publishing journey.
Kind regards,
The 360Giving team
