Help us to help you

Business Healthy and the City of London Corporation are interested in hearing from local employers about the health status and wellbeing needs of their workforce. This will help us to shape the provision of health and wellbeing support for City workers.

If you are an HR lead or have HR responsibilities for a City firm - no matter how big or small - please spare a few minutes to complete our very short survey on the health and wellbeing areas that are most important to your organisation.

If you have any questions about the research project, please get in touch with us here.

Next week is...
  • Samaritans' Awareness Day (The Big Listen), 24 July

24 July is 24/7 Samaritans' Awareness Day - an important opportunity to promote the work that this fantastic charity does.

Samaritans is a national charity that offers a safe place for individuals going through a tough time to talk at any time they like, in their own way, about whatever's getting to them - it's not just for those who are experiencing suicidal thoughts. This assistance can be accessed 24/7 and anonymously through its freephone number 116 123.

Samaritans' freephone service is just one of the many free support resources available to City workers. Samaritans' Awareness Day is a great opportunity to promote these resources and encourage your workforce to "release the pressure".

City employers and their staff can also access the "Wellbeing in the City" tool, which is a free resource that teaches people the skills to manage their own emotional health and look out for others, before they reach crisis point.
Quote of the week: "During the 50 years I've been involved in the world of workplace wellbeing I've held one belief constant: employees come first. When that happens they feel happier and healthier, perform better and stay longer. In turn, their employers' businesses become sustainably successful." - Sir Cary Cooper CBE, Good Day at Work President and Founding Director - Robertson Cooper
From now until the end of August, the Business Healthy newsletter will be moving to a fortnightly schedule. You can still find out about everything that’s happening in the City, relating to workplace health and wellbeing, by visiting
