Following on from last months talk by Callum Hopkins (@CalEuanHopkins) on the importance of side projects we thought it was time to shine a light on some of the things you have been working on!

We'll be doing the usual chat about web development and life over a beer and some pizza but also giving people a soap box to shout about anything they think is great. Whether it's something you're building, an open source project you just can't get enough of or some crazy scribbles on the back off a scrap of paper; the floor is yours (for about 5-10 mins).

We'll be arranging a hackathon over the next month or so, so if you're working on something you think might be appropriate let us know!

We'll be getting a hackathon arranged at some point over the quieter summer months. If you have any ideas/suggestions for something we could lend a hand with let us know either via twitter (@aberdeenphp) or join us on slack.

In other news:

We're really happy to be getting more involved with ScotlandPhp (@scotlandphp), we've recently started merging over the Slack channel so if you're wanting to get involved in the conversation with other devs in and around Scotland, get your invite at
If you're interested in giving a talk at a meetup.
